No. There’s no element of chance. Whether you finish is determined entirely by your own behavior: you either walk your steps each day or you don’t. Every participant who completes their challenge gets paid.
Winnings land in your in-app Steppa wallet the moment a challenge settles. From there you can cash out to PayPal or a US bank account, or put your balance toward your next challenge.
When you join, you pay your stake, which goes straight into the prize pool, plus a small, transparent processing fee shown upfront before you confirm. Public challenges add a small creator fee on top. The prize pool pays out 100% to the winners, and cashing out is free on Steppa’s side.
They can, as long as the device writes step data to Apple Health. That said, third-party wearables sync less reliably, so during paid challenges we recommend keeping your iPhone on you or using an Apple Watch
Paid, skill-based challenges are for users 18 and older. Availability depends on the laws where you live, and the app will tell you at signup if paid challenges aren’t available in your region.
